1 out of 5 stars Timberland Men's White Ledge Boot   March 13, 2009

I bought those boots in December 2008 and was very disappointed by quality. I did not like that shoe-tongue made from nylon and it can be ripped off easy. Second my feet were sweating and when temperature get below 32 F it was cold to wear. And they are hard not soft.
I always liked Timberland brand but those shoe "Timberland Men's White Ledge Boot" can be made better.

4 out of 5 stars Waterproof? NOT!   February 26, 2009

Although I really like these boots they are far from waterproof. Even with repeated leather treatment using Timberland's own leather protector they still do not keep my socks from getting wet here and there.

Other than the waterproof problem, I like them. They are light and comfortable and have great traction. They are a good all around hiking boot. However, I would recommend anyone looking for a real waterproof boot to go elsewhere. I would call them water resistant, for short ventures in the rain anyhow.

5 out of 5 stars Great boot   January 19, 2009

I have worn a variety of workboots and they tore up my feet before I could get them broken in. Not these. I should have bought Timberland the first time. They wear easily and my feet don't get tired when I'm on them all day long. I would recommend these to anybody.

5 out of 5 stars good, serviceable hiking boots. Inexpensive.   January 10, 2009

For a relative inexpensive pair of hiking boots, it would be difficult to do much better than this one. They are quite sturdy, fit very well, look good and do the job you paid them to do. There is a bit of a break-in period for these and like another reviewer, I found them a bit stiff at first but after that I certainly have no complaints. I do not know if I would want to use these in the fridge north, but for normal weather, they are just fine. They look good in jeans or hiking shorts.

The boots are good quality and comfortable. They're easy to walk in. They're not as warm as I'd like them to be, but I would probably buy them again anyhow.
