Timberland Hiking Shoes August 24, 2009 Deanna Toncray (Bath, IL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The shoes are very comfortable--no break-in period. I thought the shoes run small. I typically wear a size 7 but needed a 7.5. After 10 - 15 minutes of walking through wet grass, my shoes leaked. I have used a waterproofing agent on the boots and am hoping for good results.
Great shoe for the money and comfortable too! July 17, 2009 C. Ronald Naslund (Alpha, IL.USA) I got this shoe about a year and a half ago and have worn them while driving a truck and farm tractor and working around heavy machinery in all kinds of weather and they have held up really well and are very comfortable.
Warm and Comfortable June 29, 2009 Jennifer A. Wilk (Gorham, NH) I love these boots. I sprained my ankle a week ago, but had a vacation planned around hiking. After attempting to hike in sneakers, I decided to pick up these boots.
The boots made my ankle feel very stabilized and secure during our 7 mile, rainy, slippery, rocky hike yesterday.
Amazingly, the boots stayed dry and warm until I had to wade through a brook that was knee-high. The boots had a great grip on the slippery rocks as well. They remained comfortable throughout the hike - I didn't need to break them in at all.
I love these boots! I am extremely impressed with the quality, price, and comfort.
Overseas junk, inferior componets, more profit April 20, 2009 Joseph R. Eckley (Bellefonte,Pa. USA) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Imade a couple of mistakes buying these hikers-first I didn't look too closely at the construction, believing I was buying a qualty product because of it's former reputation. In exactly .47 miles, according to my Garmin GPS, I felt my boot loosen, the laces were loose--the grommet pulled completly out of the punched hole in the leather. The grommet ring on the underside was 1/8" in diameter, of course it pulled through. These grommets are of course cheaper and look fairly good from the outside, so they sacrificed quality for more profit. The boot it's self was made in Vietnam, and is a good looking boot; but if you want to take a little hike through low-bush blueberries, better buy something made in America. The second mistake was buying these from a store that tried not to refund my money, but offered to give me another pair of these clunkers, like they may last for an entire 1/2 mile. This was the Shoe Store in the Nittany Mall State College Pa. I'll NEVER have anything to do with either again.

Husband loves these boots for work............. April 16, 2009 B. Shoultz (California) My husband had me find these boots for him after searching and searching other websites and specifically a website that he had always bought boots from before. These were a better bargain and he wears them for work everyday with great comfort and durability. We'll order them again when needed. They are well made and worth the time it took to seek them out from Amazon.
