This cabana worked great for what I wanted, which was to shade my children during sun peak hours in our backyard last summer. This little tent is very easy to set up (for backyard use) and super easy to move around. I would often change the location during the day, so the sun would be shaded from our skin. It was a blast while it lasted. However, only lasted one summer for us. I would bring a baby bathtub full of water and toys to set inside the plastic base area (nice feature too). Our young kids would splash around and keep shaded from the sun. The cabana worked well for daily use. Kids never messed around with the outside, only played under the shade. The problem with this tent, is the material is pretty thin. Right away it started to tear away from some of the pole areas. The tears didn't grow too fast, by the last weeks of summer, it was on its last legs and had to be thrown away. We only paid $23 (free shipping) for this tent, so 3 months of fun in the sun, was worth it. I wont be buying this one again, for this summer. Instead I saw Amazon selling another brand and it has better reviews for only $10 more. Hopefully, I can get 2 summers out of the next cabana I order.

You can't beat this for an inexpensive portable shade. It really does keep you cooler than the surrounding temperature. It worked great for our ice chests on a recent camping trip where there was no other shade available for them. You need to use those short chairs if you plan to sit under it. It was simple to set up. Obviously it would not stand up to very windy conditions - as would most any similar device.

I bought this shelter before our trip to Huntington Beach. I like the fact that it has UV protection lining. With a little more $ than the price of a beach umbrella, we can get a better UV protection and somewhat privacy. I ended up buying 2 more for my relatives. It's a great gift for those who take their kids outdoor. It is very easy to set it up, I can do it by myself. It was hard in a high wind of Huntington Beach, but with some helps, we can get it up. We put heavy bags inside to prevent it from being blown away.
I took the shelter to many play dates this summer. Park, beach, lake,... it shelter us from the direct sun and the wind. The tent fabric gets very hot on a very hot day. Staying inside the tent at really hot beach with no wind blowing can be really hot. But, when the wind blows, you feel better. But,we prefer having a shelter, than having sun burns. It's compact and lightweight. Well, enough said... we love it, our friends love it, the kids love it, too.
Improvement on this product will be great if the carrying bag could be more durable, and also the stakes to anchor down the tent need to be made from a sturdier metal. It got bended when we tried to step on it to the ground. Otherwise, I could give 5 stars.

The "tent" stakes could have been a little bigger. It is very compact and was easy to put up and it worked great. I think it will last for several trips to the beach. Very good value for the money.

This shelter takes about 5 minutes to set up and take down. Instructions are simple to follow and I only had to read them once. Provided great shade for 7 month old baby, he had plenty of space to roll around while being protected. Love the fact that it has 50 spf, many other shelters I looked at had no spf protection at all. It is very light and was easily carried along with beach bag and 16 pound baby. The stakes are only about 6 inches long, I would probably not put it up if there is strong wind.
