| Customer Reviews: Very Convenient....Worth Toting Along December 30, 2009 Ambergris (New England.....USA) Hiking and camping is a long time passion of mine. Back in my younger days I excelled at facing down the savage elements with very little in the way of modern conveniences just to prove how touch I was. Or at least I attempted to "enjoy" surviving on the bare minimum of conveniences. Now that I am older and have earned the right to partake in the outdoors a little more civilized, I have come to really appreciate taking along with me a few of the things that some wannabe mountain men would come across and just assume is too much of a luxury for what they have in mind. This camp grill may appear at first glance to be something that one can get along without. Figurin' that some kind of makeshift setup was good enough for the cowboys on cattle drive, so it's good enough for you. Truth be known the old west campfire almost always had some kind of cast iron stand employed to handle keeping their coffee piping hot,'taters and eggs sizzling, and of course bacon frying all at once. If you are striving to be authentic in your camping and hiking travels, tote along this fine little grill stand. It may be a little awkward to fit into a backpack with your gear, but it will more than pay for itself in its convenience. This grill with collapsible legs can nicely hold a couple of frying pans, and a coffee pot to boot. You can adjust its height by either building up the fire, or standing it higher or lower on rocks. I bought my Grip grill at a local sporting goods store more than 5 years ago and is still good and solid, and folding down without a problem. It is just about the most convenient and sensible item one can tote along on any camping trip where you are planning on cooking more than one pot dinners. The cost here is cheaper than what I paid and I highly recommend it for the little bit of wilderness within us all...
