 Great little stove December 30, 2009

If looking for a Portable Butane Stove, this is the better one. I bought the $9 one, it was a piece of crap. This stove worked right out of the box flawlessly, and it's a lot sturdier. The only problem is with the fuel source, although cheap and readily available online only, Butane won't work under 31 degrees F.

Fuel locking lever bent upon arrival in such a way as to not lock in the fuel cannister. Fine, bent it in such a way as it would lock in the cannister.
Then the ignition wouldn't fire. Fine, lit with matches.
Then the fuel delivery wasn't consistent as in the flame height would go up and down by itself.
Hard to trust a unit like that to not blow up in your face.
And since shipping was so great a part of the price it was not worth shipping back. Into the recycling trash it went.
Bought a different model of the same thing and have been happy as a lark. Allows me to avoid my electricity sucking range and cook with the instant temp control of gas.

This thing is amazing... I was looking for something portable to take with me on motorcycle excursions. I need the ability to make coffee and boil water while camping. The small size and ease of use is what attracted me to this particular model..having the butane cannisters at most big stores helped too! It has an igniter so no matches are required and it will boil a pot of coffee QUICKLY! For the money this thing is impossible to beat!!

I never got to use this thing. The size of the propane bottle is really hard to find. I eventually gave it away, with the new box, to someone in a campground. Don't waste your money.

I bought this exact same model at an asian rim shopping center for $12.50 plus CA sales tax.
at the same market I bought a 4 pack of the butane fuel for $3.99 plus CA sales tax
it is amazing how something has a different importer and jacks up the price.
If you live in the santa clara county area, visit your local asian market if you really want one of these at a good price (along with fuel)
