So if you live in the Northeast/East Coast area, you have no doubt experiences a number of black-outs due to the bizzare apolocalyptic weather we have been having. My family has actually gotten used to losing electricity every time a storm comes around now! I wanted to be prepared for the next time that happens and thought a portable stove would be a good investment. This is the first stove I have purchased and I am so glad it worked so well

PROS
- Very light-weight
- Ready to use right-out-of-the-box
- Has a VERY DURABLE carrying case to transportation
- Easy to clean and easy to use!
- You can modify strength of flame

CONS
- May be a 'wee-bit' flimsy (not that I have seen any wear-n-tear as yet, but because of its light-weightedness, I am guessing it may not last for many years - SO I AM JUST ASSUMING AT THIS POINT)

________________________________

When we initially got this stove, I purchased the Butane cans (from a store called 'Gracias Home' in NYC, which was REALLY hard to find btw) and tried it in the our backyard, and then we tried in indoors on our regular stove (WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DON'T DO!). But we risked it anyway (with a lot of supervision and fire extinguisher on hand), and it continued to work effortlessly. We have only used it a couple of times (which is warming stuff and boiling water), and can't WAIT for the next blackout to use it again ;-)

(PS. stock-pile on butane cans, so that you are really ALWAYS prepared in case of emergency! Also available on Amazon)

I travel a lot( drive a semi),and need to heat food. I have many 12 volt coffee makes, 12 v heating pots.I wait for 1 hour for a 12v pot of luke warm coffee. This stove will perk 8 cups of coffee, in 5 minutes flat, heat soup in 3 minutes.I use in out side of my truck and works great.

3 out of 5 stars Nice stove after repairing   December 30, 2009

The stove came with a tube that wasn't inserted all the way into the air mixer, so I bent the copper tube to adjust. After verifying no leaks and firing it up, the flame had no low adjustments and wouldn't shut off completely. I had to remove the knob (there's a phillips screw under the sticker in the middle), and move it a notch at a time counter-clockwise until it would shut off and adjust the flame evenly, which turned out to be 3 notches. The biggest beef I have with this stove and all Butane fueled products is that it won't work when it's colder than 35 degrees F out.
