Product Description Light the way on the trail, at the campsite, or in your backyard, with the Coleman LED MicroPacker Lantern. Featuring a bright, long-lasting Cree XR-C LED, the MicroPacker Lantern provides 65 lumens of lighting on the "high" setting. The Lantern runs for 14 hours on low and 8 hours on high, with a set of three AA batteries (not included). A sliding reflector projects light forward so you can see where you're heading. The durable metalized lower case stands up to repeated use, with an easy push-button control. The Lantern's space-saving handle nests against the top cap, so it's easy to pack and store.

Biggest little light I have ever seen! September 22, 2009 Allen (Oregon) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Looking at this thing you would think that it is make for a little kid.
After turning it on you soon find that you can,t see, not for lack of light but for to much!
The "one" new kind of led balb that is being used in this light is crazy! The three AA batties use in it has lasted for three weekends and is still going. ( Coopertop only )
Nice, small lantern...weird light pattern September 11, 2009 C. Zemer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a nice small lantern, however, the light pattern is very sporadic and somewhat annoying. If they could redesign this unit to provide more even lighting, it would be top notch!
Great product April 25, 2009 Vinod K. Raju (Syracuse, NY, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It is as per the specifications, bright light, good design, good quality. Value for money. Very compact and sleek by design, it can easily fit into ure jacket pockets.
Excellent Emergency and Backup Light February 26, 2009 retrodog (Houston/Galveston TX) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is a great emergency area light, especially for those of us in hurricane country. It uses a cree LED so it's very bright. The size is just perfect for carrying in your hand and operating the control switch. The initial activation produces the brightest light level. A second push takes it down a notch, and then a third push changes it to the strobe mode.
The brightest level will light up an entire room very well. The low setting will light up the room but it's notably not as bright. Still more than adequate for navigating through it though. The strobe is very bright and runs at about 2Hz. It should be visible for miles in a dark countryside.
I particularly liked the sliding reflector on the back side. It changes the light emission from a full 360 to a more forward projection, making it more like a flashlight... but not quite. But it does indeed make it much more effective when sitting it on a mantle or hanging from a tree just to have the light project in the direction of the room or camp. In any case, you can control this just by sliding the reflector up or down into the hidden area in the base.
The three AA batteries fit into a round battery holder which is inserted back into the base from the bottom. The holder seems to be made well and contact springs have very adequate pressure. The interface contacts between the holder and the light are flat spring-loaded pads. Shaking the light quickly did not result in any flickering so I've determined that they connections are fairly solid/reliable.
All-in-all, it is a very good light at a great price. It fits in the hand well and is easy to use (and control) with one hand.
Light weight January 5, 2009 D. Cepulis (Texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My observations:
A bit smaller and not as bright as expected. Sliding reflector really doesn't help this much either.
More handy for emergencies than regular use as a lantern.
Has a handy strobe-light mode for road-side safety as well.
Sturdy and easy to handle. Nice style in silver.
