The Victorinox Rescue Tool was developed and perfected in conjunction with emergency medical and rescue services in a five-year project. All parts have been subject to stringent tests, particularly the new window breaker and disc saw tools. The Rescue Tool includes the most essential functions for freeing a person from a disabled vehicle, including a rounded belt cutter which can be used to safely cut through a seat belt. All tools that have to be available quickly can be opened wearing gloves and are suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users. The one-handed blade and strong screwdriver (crate opener) are fixed in position when open thanks to the liner lock mechanism. The look of the Rescue Tool is unique as well with its luminescent yellow grip shells and bright red and yellow nylon case. Lifetime warranty against defects About Swiss Army Knives
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my fiancee, who is a paramedic. Before giving it to her, of course I had to open it up and check it out. What a stout piece of equipment! Very nice quality, rugged functionality and not cumbersome at all. I tested with a pair of latex gloves, and also a pair of leather frisking gloves and was able to access all the functions unhindered. Made to live with a lifetime of abuse, several of the components, such as the glass cutter, are replaceable, which means no more sinking money into new knives every year or so. Finally, the pouch is made of sturdy material, large enough to access through uniform attire, and fits easily onto a 2-2.5" duty belt, making this tool readily accessible at a moment's notice!

My wife bought this knife for me for Christmas. I am always a bit skeptical of the latest and greatest thing, but I gave this knife a try, and was quite impressed. On a recent deer hunt, I gutted, skinned, and quartered a deer using just this knife. Now it obviously didn't do the job better than specialized tools, and it needed sharpening after the fact, but did the job well. I am fully confident that if I had to extract a person from a car, or bring down a corrupt organization single-handedly with McGuyver-like finesse, this would be my choice of Swiss-Army Knife. If I could only have one knife this one would be hard to part with; my Air Force pilot survival knife would have quite a competitor. Sharp as a razor, one of the only knives NOT made in China, and definitely worth the purchase price.

This Victorinox in Lime green and it's bright red case are easy to spot. I bought one for each vehicle and they are stored in the driver's side door(has a molded catch-all pocket).There's a seatbelt cutter and many other useful tools.
I have bought a variety of Victorinox products and my pocket knives are handed down to my grandsons as they reach 12. Hey a girl has to shop and any excuse will do, when it comes to a proven product.

I got this for my son-in-law to be. He had seen this knife online and wanted it. I watched the video and it made me want one. It would be something just to keep in your car "in case". The color is neat, everything on it is useful. He LOVED it!
