Amazon.com Product Description
Need a break from the unrelenting sun while hanging out on the beach? Turn to the Kelsyus beach canopy chair, an ingenious product that converts from a familiar quad-style beach chair into your own personal oasis.

The canopy beach chair lets you take a break from the mid-day sun.
In its default position, the chair looks like most other beach chairs, with a low profile for toes-in-the-sand comfort and variable reclining positions. Should you need respite from the mid-day sun, however, you can pull the canopy over and enjoy a shaded afternoon. It's the perfect chair for reading on the beach for hours at a stretch, or for camping in wide-open locales. And when it's time to pack up, the chair folds flat and slings over your shoulders via the built-in backpack straps. The Kelsyus beach canopy chair supports up to 250 pounds.

5 out of 5 stars beach chair   September 2, 2009
M. Bartos (Mokena, IL)
We took these chairs on vacation with us and they were great! I loved having the covering in the hot sun. They were very easy to unfold. Carrying them like a backpack was nice since we had so much to lug down to the beach everyday. I would definitly recommend these chairs.

3 out of 5 stars Kelsyus Beach Chair   August 10, 2009

I like the chair but there are couple of concerns.
The chair is heavier that I thought it would be and some of the stitching is already starting to pull away.
I spent over $ 50.00 for this item and I am disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Kelsyus canopy chair   August 3, 2009

I love my chair! Great for swim meets or for the swimming pool where you sit in the sun for many hours. The chair is comfortable and low to the ground. The canopy is easy to set up, you just lift it from behind the chair. The chair will not fall over in the wind. The arm rests are metal, so they get hot in the sun. I cover them with a towel to avoid that problem. To me, not having wooden arm rests is an advantage: I can let it stand in the rain and not have to put it away until the rain stops. A cup holder would be nice, but it doesn't have one. All in all, I am very happy with the chair.

4 out of 5 stars RECLINER is heavy but good   July 27, 2009

Although this RECLINER is a bit heavy to carry long distances, I am very happy with my purchase overall. It is well built and easy to operate. Note: This is not a chair for those that like to sit upright! The manual ratchet system has various slots for reclining positions only.

3 out of 5 stars Sturdy, but could be better   July 8, 2009

I bought this chair for a Florida trip. The chair is much heavier than other beach chairs, but the backpack straps helps when carrying in the sand. The canopy will not shield the sun on your legs unless you have the chair lined up correctly with the sun at your back. They could have improved the chair by adding wooden arms and a cup holder. Also, the chair does not have a straight sitting position. The first position is slightly reclined. Sometimes you want to sit up straight; this chair does not have that setting.

All in all, it is a good sturdy chair, but for the price I believe they could work on making some improvements.
