 Unusual poor performance from Amazon March 11, 2010

I have been a happy customer from Amazon for years now, and this purchase turns out to be quite different.
As usual, Amazon was quick to deliver. Purely amazing.
However, when I opened the box, I found a dirty (black, greasy) rollaway bed. I had to spend 1 hr to clean it before I dared use it to accomodate our extra guest. And it's not even on rollers, or it does not come with a cover. Amazon should be more specific with the quality of their products. Not a total disaster, however disappointed.

This is more of a cot than a roll away bed but I knew that before I bought it. This thing is really comfortable and sets up and breaks down super fast. I have no regrets in buying one.

I have been looking for something that I could use for overnight guests that is both comfortable and portable. Most folding beds that I had researched got low customer ratings because they were flimsy and uncomfortable for adult sleepers. I have had two adults use this bed (one a male well over 200 pounds), and both said it was very comfortable--and believe me if it wasn't they would let me know (I did however use a mattress topper to add a bit more cushion). The bed requires no special bedding--just plain old twin sheets. Also, the bed is extremely easy to set up and it folds up small enough that I was able to stash it in my guest room closet. I couldn't be happier with this product.

Overall the Blantex bed arrived well built and could easily be transformed into a bed. The provided mattress pad is thin but surprisingly comfortable. However, the height of the unit is very low to the ground. For me being young it is ok but my grandfather had a much harder time using the bed. The build quality is excellent and very stable. I am 5 ft 9 and could fit on the bed without my feet dangling off the bed. If you are looking for a bed that is portable ie camping, etc this bed unit is heavy and quite large even in its folded position. I do not know if this is something you would want to really lug around your camp site. I think this is a great unit for the under 200 dollar price tag.

Got this and was a little surprised by how easy it was to use. Used it for a guest bed for a small person. She slept fine however, might be less comfortable if a larger person had to use it. Not very wide. Overall a good purchase
