Product Description GSI Hard Anodized Extreme Cook Sets By GSI
Amazon.com Product Description Guaranteed to please everyone from ounce-counting backpackers to gourmet camp chefs, the GSI Extreme cookset is a camping essential. The items are made of hard-anodized aluminum, a material that distributes heat quickly and evenly to eliminate hot spots. More impressively, GSI added three layers of Extreme nonstick coating, making the cookware easy to clean. This helps the pots and pans survive countless adventures, including cooking several pounds of breakfast sausage for your friends and family. Finally, the pots and pans offer a compact nesting design for easy transport. Just stack the cookware into a compact pile and stuff it in the included mesh sack. The Extreme cookware set comes in three sizes: small, medium, and large. The small set consists of a 1-quart pot, a 1.5-quart pot, a 6.5-inch frypan/lid, a 7.5-inch frypan/lid, a DiamondBack Gripper, two cutting boards, and a mesh storage bag. The medium cookset comes with the same accessories, but ups the cookware sizes to 1.5- and 2.5-quart pots and 7.5- and 8.875-inch frypans. Finally, the large set offers 2.5- and 4-quart pots, along with 8.875 and 9.75-inch frypans. The pots and frypans let you cook everything from pastas and soups to breakfast flapjacks, with the frypans doubling as lids for the pots. The DiamondBack Gripper, meanwhile, serves as your pot/frypan handle, with hardware that attaches securely to the pots' and pans' exterior brackets. Other details include double-rolled rims for increased stiffness and durability and a total weight of between 1 pound 10 ounces and 2 pounds 11 ounces, depending on the size of your set.

| Customer Reviews: Pots nest nicely November 10, 2009 Engineer (Minneapolis, MN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are very nice quality pots. Not very heavy, but not too light - bottom of frying pans seems to cook evenly over a cartridge stove. Good for stove, but I think too light duty for over a fire as a habit. I bought all 3 kits and they all nest inside one another - you can pick the sizes you need based on the trip and number of people. I think these are discontinued. Get them while you can.
the best cook set September 15, 2009 joeblkwolf (pa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
i really love this set, the small is just large enough for 2 people if your go'n light weight, i like it so much i'm geting the large set , i use them at home as well as in the sticks, just remember to keep the handle off when cooking or use a hot pad it does tend to get a little hot, non stick easy clean up and durable haven't had any problems with scratching or chiping

BackPacker.com thinks weell enough of GSI's Outdoors Hard Anodized Extreme cookware to give it their Editor's Choice Award in 2001 and continue to recommend it at their website[...]
So, when I needed some extra small pans to use at home, I decide to get one of their mess kits to do double duty. I'm glad I did.
