 A very nice and attractive collapsable cooler March 17, 2010

I bought this for my wife to take on grocery shopping trips that are integrated into her bi-weekly paper route. She used our regular hard-side cooler until the volume of free papers grew to the point that there was no room for them and the old cooler. Since many of the papers have been delivered by the time she gets to the store, this seemed to be a good solution and it is. The unit has a removable, rigid piece that serves as the bottom of the cooler and helps to keep it expanded but I suppose it could also be used as a divider if needed. The unit seems to be built solidly and even has a "pop top" for access without unzipping the full top. As some others have mentioned, having only side handles makes it necessary to use two hands when carrying it so some kind of strap across the top would have made it perfect but it is still very nice. My wife is happy with it and that makes me happy too! I figure we can use it on our camping trips as well and those wheels and handle are certainly alright by me (I'm tired of carrying a heavy, rigid cooler around....).

I've had a Columbia rolling cooler for over 5 years and use it all the time for carrying home my perishables from the grocery store. Keeps frozen foods ice cold and when empty takes up little space as it folds compactly for storage. This model, the 50 can was given as a gift. They love it.

Cooler was great for the beach. Only drawback is there's no single handle on the top to carry across the sand. Having 2 handles on the sides made it extremely difficult to carry across the sand when you also were carrying other stuff. We took rope and tied to both side handles to make a strap to carry. Made it much easier. Other than that it was great!

Gave this cooler to my parents as a gift and they love it....keeps things cool, rolls well and does not leak....in fact, many of their friends have called me to find out where to buy it!!!

I like the cooler,except I wish it had plastic liners inside, to put the blue ice, so it didnt touch the items in the cooler.
