I have found the MSR Titan 2L to be a great backpacking pot in that it is extremely light, yet still incredibly strong and resistant to denting. I would recommend that one either suck it up and purchase the pot for its utility and durability, and the fact that it will last five-ten years, or wait until it goes on sale here on Amazon and buy it for $55. :)
