Product Description
Whip out the Snow Peak Carry-on Chopsticks to enjoy some backcountry stir fry, or to impress the delivery guy. Unscrew the wooden tips of these camp utensils and store them inside the metal grips to protect the tips from grime and germs in your pack. Collapsed, the Carry-on Chopsticks are only 4.5 inches in length. Using the Snow Peak Carry-on Chopsticks eliminates the need for disposable chopsticks, and Snow Peak makes the tips out of recycled baseball bats, so they're not only handy, but environmentally friendly. Snow Peak even included a carrying case with a lanyard, so you won't lose these in the recesses of your pack.

5 out of 5 stars Used them for many years   July 10, 2010

I have used these for many years and loved them. I like the fact that the bottom is wood which is more sanitary and less slippery than plastic or steel. They fit easily in my fanny pack (I've even taken them to China). I hate wasting disposable chopsticks and don't like the feel of many of the plastic ones, so these were ideal. Alas, I lost my pair last month and will be purchasing a new set today.

5 out of 5 stars Great Set of Chopsticks - Highly Recommended!   May 14, 2010

These portable chopsticks are just about perfect! I have coveted my sister's set for well over a year before braking down and buying two sets of these for my son and myself. Here are my observations:

+ Wood Tips; our other sets of portable chopsticks are metal and can be too slippery for some foods, there don't have that issue
+ Compact Size; these are conveniently sized for the shirt pocket or purse when stored in the handle and put in the included case
+ Good "Feel"; the weight of these are just about perfect in the hand
+ Good Looking; I get complements on these just about every time we use them in restaurants

Give these a good washing and thorough drying when they first come in and after every use and you shouldn't have any issue with them.

Highly Recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Best Utensil Purchase Ever   December 14, 2009

Not only are folks curious about these chopsticks when I pull them out of the carrying case, but they are envious when they see how awesome they are.
The base of the stick is hollow with a screw-cap end. You open the screw-end and the eating end is stored within. The eating end screws to the other side of the base, creating a full chopstick.

Sturdy and very original, these chopsticks are a great investment. I keep mine with me at all times since they fit so nicely in my purse or pocket. They come with a lanyard to hold them around your neck as well in case you're lacking both purse and pocket.

These also have made excellent, conversation-worthy presents in the past. Worth the money for the use they'll get.

5 out of 5 stars Have Chopsticks will travel   February 1, 2009

I travel a lot. I routinely carry a number of key items in my kit. The Snow Peak Chopsticks has become a part of that kit. They are light, take up very little room, work very well and are easy to clean. I find them perfect for travel and have not raised an eyebrow in a number of security checks along the eastern seaboard.
