Lightweight aluminum Dutch Ovens are perfect for the river. They are 1/3 the weight of cast iron and won't rust, so they're easier to clean and store. But aluminum won't hold heat as well, so works best when shielded from the wind and fired with commercial charcoal briquettes, which provide an even, predictable heat. Ten-inch has 3" sides, no legs, will feed two to four people. Prop the 10" over charcoal with a Lid Stand or rocks. Heavy wire bail handle is balanced to carry the whole oven; lids have a rim to keep coals on top and a handle in the middle. Weighs 4 lbs.
