Lightweight but strong, the aluminum used in each Laken bottle is powder-coated for additional strength and protects the external paint from wear and tear. The aluminum used in Laken bottles is thicker than many other aluminum bottles and provides increased strength and durability. A fully-coated FDA-approved Epoxi interior prevents leaching and is extremely resistant to temperature, exterior dents or residue from liquid contents. My main concern was taste, but the epoxy lining does its job and my water tastes as pure as it should. The one drawback is that the water heats up very quickly on hot days, especially sitting in my car. The good news is that when I drink it, I don't get that plastic infusion.
