Product Description Recycled materials simple daypack.
Amazon.com Product Description Do your part for the planet with the sharp-looking Osprey React daypack. Constructed of recycled 450D PET fabric--a thermoplastic resin made from ground-up water and soda bottles--the bag is a must for the eco-friendly urban walker who needs to carry books and other items. The React is outfitted with an internal laptop sleeve that protects your computer and peripherals, along with dual front pockets that help keep your books or camp food in order. The electronics pocket in the harness, meanwhile, offers a built-in music port for your MP3 player, letting you listen to all your favorite tracks while strolling the city streets. And thanks to the side mesh pockets, it's possible to stow your water bottles in an easy-to-access location. Other details include a recycled spacer mesh harness and back panel that keep the air moving for maximum comfort; a side organizer pocket that holds pens, keys, a cell phone, and other essentials; and a smart key clip that works with electronic keys. The React, which offers 1,700 cubic inches of storage space and weighs 1.74 pounds, carries Osprey's lifetime warranty. Specifications: - Cubic inches: 1,700

| Customer Reviews: Quality just not there March 16, 2010 P. Lindsey (Knoxville, TN) I sent this product back. First, it was orange, not red. Second, the quality of the material was not what I would have expected from Osprey.
Awesome Recycled Pack February 17, 2010 H. Jones (Jacksonville Beach, FL, US) Bought two of these for the first plane trip with baby to visit family and already using them even before we leave. Love this pack with the numerous pockets and zippers and cubbies, you can fit so much inside it is amazing. The colors are great too and fun. Comfortable to wear and easy to get off and on. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an eco-friendly pack that is both functional and nice looking. Very happy with my purchases.
Its only the first day, but I'm so excited! January 14, 2010 LCB (Somerville, MA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After the first day of use: I love the color (rainforest). My frame is small (5'4, 125), and it fits pretty well. not too long for my torso, but I could see if you were tall, that it may be too short.
Things to know:
*Those dual front pockets? They're stacked on top of each other (as in front to back), so they're huge, and handy, but I can see issues with packing if you fill them with non-flat items. One has organizer pocket inside.
*There is a waist belt, though it isn't padded or anything. It is unobtrusive when not in use. It sits sort of high on the waist, not where I'd wear a traditional hipbelt, but it is better than nothing.
*The pencil/pen organizer pockets are on the large pocket, which seems weird to me, but it was handy today in class, because i was already in the large pocket to get my notebook. The pocket there is also large enough to hold a medium-small external mouse. Handy.
*The Electronics pocket is really small for a phone. I mean, like maybe one of those old Nokias? maybe.... My iPhone certainly won't fit, and neither will your blackberry or android, or probably even your flip phone... it is handy for a t-pass, or school id, or other card-sized items. Also, maybe a iPod Nano.
*The "frame" of the backpack (the back has a plastic sheet enclosed in light padding) seems flimsy, but I think that it'll be okay in the long run, I'll let you know.
*The laptop pocket is not padded. I keep mine in a neoprene case anyway, and i like it better this way, but if you don't keep the case, this may be a concern. Like, no padding on the front, and only the aforementioned flimsy plastic/foam padding on the back.
*The headphone access is not situated anywhere close to a pocket in which you could safely put your iPod. Now, I never liked that style of wiring my commute anyway, but it may be a concern for others.
I'll add more as I wear this. So far, I recommend it, but again, today was the first day!
Very Good November 30, 2009 John A. Saintgeorge (Jackson, TN United States) I have been using this pack for over a year now and it has held up from school and summer adventures. Osprey makes good stuff!
The Perfect New Daypack is a Recycled One! February 9, 2009 SUSAN LIENESCH (Anacortes, WA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love everything about this pack: the padded back and straps, the balanced feel, and the organization of the interior. The design is attractive (I got the "Panda" color) and the fabric is really nice - hard to believe it's made from recycled materials. I especially like having 2 side mesh pockets, as I like to vacation in warmer locales, and lots of water bottles are a must for me.
I'm using it for bike trips to the library, day hikes and travel. I was looking at this one and also one by The North Face The North Face Recon Kingfisher Blue Backpack and tried on both at a store in Seattle. I then went home and bought it on Amazon for a better price plus free shipping! I know I'll be making use of that little mp3 pocket whilst waiting in lines at airports. All in all, a very nice pack.
