I replaced the original hose for my hydration system with this thermal control kit before heading for the fire lines in Calif. Through out the heat of the days and the exerciase of digging fireline my water remained cool and refreshing. The first mouthful was a bit on the warm side but nothing like with the original hose which was unprotected. With the cover I was no longer eating dirt and ash from the fires but a cool clean mouth piece. Thanks for a great improvement to and already great product.
