| Customer Reviews:
great for a little guy only needing to carry a few things. January 6, 2009 Kristin T. Van Wey (Jackson, Tennessee) I purchaced a size small for my 5 yo and a medium for my 8 yo. I was looking for a backpacking backpack that was small enough to fit, yet fit their minimal personal gear; in the least some snacks, water, change of clothes and sleeping bag. These packs are cute and I think they will work for the 5 yo.because he wont beable to carry much weight. They definately are not appropriate for anything more than day packing as the space is extremely limited. There is no way to fit a sleeping bag. My 8 yo wasn't happy with it because of the size. It fit nicely I only wish it had bigger capacity. My only other negative thought is the fact that on the first time my 8 yo used it, the metal zipper pull literally broke in half. I am returning it. The rest of the pack seems to be quality and the space for the hydration pack is a plus. I would give this item 4 stars for the size small for a little guy, but the fact the zipper broke and it doesn't hold anything a 2 for my 8 yo. In their defence, they give the measurements and capacity and state that it's a snowport backpack, not backpacking. I'm just getting into the sport and trying to outfit my family, so had I been more familiar with things, I may have saved myself some time.
