Seems ok . Won't know for sure until I need to use it but it should be enough to get by for a few days. Tools are most certainly short time use . So if you exspect a worse case survival scenerio better up grade the tools or start from scratch and make your own pack .

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this kit but I'm very impressed with it. Based on some of the reviews I was expecting some of the products to be really junky or of inferior quality but they seem decent enough to me. For example, yes the emergency whistle is plastic but it seems like it will do what I need it to do in an emergency which is what I want. I don't plan on using it to referee games or use it on any type of frequent basis.
The bag is heavier than I thought it would be but then again I don't intend to hike anywhere with it. I just want to be able to grab it and get out of the house in case of an earthquake.
I'm going to get another bag to keep in my car.
It's a good product. Thumbs up.

The knapsack container is a high point. We already had a good radio, so the fact that this one was a bit below optimum was OK. Nice selection of bandages,etc.

I got a Deluxe kit for the house & a Quake kit for the car. I was pleased with the
Deluxe kit ... items are practical and sturdy. The quake kit was a waste of money &
I wish i would have spent the extra $20 and upgraded to just ordering 2 Deluxe kits

Well put together kit, nice to have items for an emergency. I was a little dissapointed at the low quality of the items. Mainly off-brand cheap items, like the fake "Swiss Army" knife, the radio, 5-in-1 survival whistle and even the waterproof matches. I'll probably make another kit myself using products that look like they might be more durable.
